I'd like to know how long I spent on an assignments that I have logged, and to do this, I think it'd be useful to allow me to put it into KSpread so I can do calculations on the time.

Thus, it'd make sense to let me do a filter on all events in a certain category (which already works), and then export them to csv, and then import that into kspread and do whatever I want from there.

There should be options to allow me to select which columns from the "List" view to export. So it may also be useful to add "length of time" as a column to the List view.

It'd also be very "integrated" and cool if there were a way to not only export it to csv, but also open it automatically in whatever program the user has installed that can open csv.

Appears to still be present in 4.x. Some old versions of PIMs don't support iCal so CSV is the only choice for going between them and KOrganizer.
