I have rather a lot of subscribed newsgroups. It's sometimes tedious looking through the list to locate the one i'm interested in a particular moment (slightly confusing to the eye the way the group names are collapsed sometimes depending on length). 

So i was thinking how nice it would be to have a "quick search" filter, the same as the one above the article listing panel, above the subscribed newsgroup list panel. This way with a few keystrokes one could locate the newsgroups they are interested in much more quickly.
