Description Matthew Woehlke 2005-04-21 16:20:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20050227 (Red Hat 3.4.3-22.fc3)
OS: Linux

On a dual-head system (two monitors running as "spanning desktop"), the 'new tab' popup menu for Konsole shows on screen 1 when Konsole is in full-screen mode in screen 2 (works worrectly if window is normal or maximized but not full screen).

here that works perfect, having dual head, kde cvs head and konsole cvs head

I'm not on the CVS head and I'm on a production system that I do NOT want to mess with devel stuff on. It's definately broken here (see screenshot), but might be fixed already in CVS head. Can anyone confirm that it is or is not broken in their own 3.4 *RELEASE*.

I am running a xinerama dual head KDE 3.4 release desktop, and could not reproduce your problem. I am using nVidia binary driver and their TwinView technology with the latest Gentoo 3.4 ebuilds.

Possibly hardware specific? I'm using a Matrox G450 for dual head, with the primary screen to the right of the secondary (i.e. [2][1]). Shall I attach my xorg config as well?

I don't think this is Konsole related. Perhaps ask on your distribution ml or forum.

Also, try another window manager. I keep fluxbox around so I can test stuff. Even the WM that comes with Xorg would work, just to test this...

Try a Redhat forum/ml or KDE forum/ml.

For the record, this might be (Yet Another) problem with RH's 'bluecurve' style... Don't know when it went away, but I don't see this any more; either upgrading KDE or not using bluecurve made it go away.
