In KMail 1.8 there is a nice new feature where you can view a picture of the sender if the sender is in your addressbook.
However, I could only get this to work if I allow external references in the messages.
I would like to view the addressbook picture while still disallowing external references in the message body. Both pictures embedded in the addressbook entries as well as URL pictures are affected.

On KMail from KDE 4.1.1 this features works without enabling external references.

Retried on 1.10.3 (from KDE 4.1.3) and it still works.
