Version: 1.8 (using KDE 3.4.0 Level "b" , SUSE 9.3)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 20050117 (prerelease) (SUSE Linux)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.11.4-20a-default

After upgrading my SuSE 9.2/KDE3.4.0(a) to SuSE9.3 i was not able to import my maildir-mailfolders (I did a complete new install with formatting my /home).
The only possibility was to convert my maildirs to mbox an with mbox-auto (useful for servermigration to imapserver) then import it with KMailCVT as mbox (older unix...)
In Bug101622 I read that KMailCVT will provide an import mechanism for importing maildirs in newer releases GREAT! - but I dont know why it didn't work as expected, just copy mails/ folders while kmail is closed.
If needed i can provide some of my maildir-mails.
Thanks for kmail/kontact!

I you updated to SUSE 9.3 with KDE 3.4 and KMail 1.8 you need only (if KMail is closed) move your maildir folder from to ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail/... and if you start kmail all should work.

The new feature in bug #101622 is not for KDE 3.4. This is new feature for KDE 3.5. This feature won't be available in KDE 3.4.x. because the text in the filterdialog isn't translated currently. If you like to use this feature you need to compile you own kmail and kmailcvt from CVS HEAD.
