Bug 90940 asked for smaller dialogues and scroll bars within these if the text doesn't all fit within the box.  A 800x600 screen was suggested.
I agree that it should be possible to use KDE conveniently even on a 800x600 display, BUT:

since KDE 3.4, (some) dialogue boxes have been very small, so that not all the content is visible at once, AND it has not been possible to expand the size of the box's window.
This is very bad:  often it is much better that one grows the window so as to read everything at once.  This option should be available even if the initial size is quite small.
Being able to change dialogue box sizes was something I and colleagues had noted as an excellent feature of earlier KDEs, and one that is missing on most (all?) other desktops.

Can there be any problem from providing the _option_ of resizing the window??


Examples:  kdm's warning that shows details of still active sessions if one tries to shutdown with users still logged in (here I can't even see the small amount of text on my 1600x100 screen without scrolling the internal bars)

kmail's warning that an IMAP server has broken the connection:  only part of the quite short text fits in the visible area and so pointless scrolling has to be done.


Please give this good feature back for the next release!
