2. Import the opml-file into akregator, or put it directly in ~/.kde/share/apps/akregator/data

3. Find any article that contains a link directly to an mp3-file.
   (For example "Wing Sings" from BoingBoing, 31. mar 2005)

4. Make sure akregator is configured to open all links in "external browser"

5. Click the mp3-link

6. In konqueror, kaffeine should now try to play the mp3-file, but fails.

7. If mplayer is installed, type "mplayer http://link-to-the-mp3" if you want a way to actually listen to the file (requires mplayer). >;)

8. In konqueror, close the tab that kaffeine took over

9. Go back to akregator and click a bunch of other links (to webpages this time)

10. This is the point where konqueror usually crashes


Some of these steps is probably not needed, but at least it's a chunk of possibly useful info.

I suspect that this crash has more to do with kaffeine than with akregator.

From what I can see in the backtrace, Konqueror is the program that crashed. If Kaffeine is buggy, wouldn't it be natural that Konqueror stayed alive? 

All good programs I know of that supports plugins/subprograms does not crash if the plugin/subprogram is buggy, why should Konqueror be any worse?

It's not natural if you run plugins in-process
