Description S. Burmeister 2005-03-30 13:51:01 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

When one is online with the icq-plugin and the network device is removed, e.g. PCMCIA network-card, or WLAN on a notebook is disabled, the icq-plugin waits for ~20 minutes and then starts to re-connect, which obviously is not possible. It also starts spitting notifications about not being able to re-connect, at 3-5 per second with that "nice" glass-break KDE sound.

There is no connection-status plug-in enabled!

The only way to make kopete stop is to kill it, as the notifications prevent the user from going offline.
