It would be great if Kooka could offer support for the ABBYY FineReader Engine. This seems to be the most professional OCR-software for Linux at the moment. More information are available at: http://www.abbyy.com/sdk/?param=28804

The ABBYY Engine is far away from being free software and the license is quite strict. That is not compatible with GPL and thus I doubt that we will get support in Kooka. I am not sure if I would agree to another exception to the GPL.
