You will see that the size of the search field in a dialog of knode is ridicilously tiny because of the long translated text 

Expected behavoir:
Change the layout of that dialog such that the search field is bigger. Take care of language that have long translated text like on the image

This seems to be a problem with the translation, the labels of the checkboxes right of the search field are much shorter in the english version.

yes so this is why i suggest you change the layout to take into account the long strings

you can't translate with the exact same number of letters than in english ... 
i suspect this not only happens with french translation but many more !
