Description monstermunch 2005-03-25 14:31:32 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Example:
I turn on my computer and the KDE login screen appears.
I type in my user name and password and hit enter.
I wait 20 seconds for KDE to load.
The first thing I do when I log in is check my email so I open up kmail.
I am prompted that kmail needs access to my wallet and I am asked to enter my password again.

I find it irritating that I need to enter my password in twice once I log in and it seems silly. I've just logged into my user account and now I have to enter another password. My wish is that wallets have an option to share your user account password and that when you log in with KDM, the password you enter is used to open you wallet automatically.

My understanding is that if I used a wallet with no password, all the passwords in my wallet are stored in clear-text so I do not wish to do this. I am quite happy to have this automatic log in behaviour when I log into my machine as I'm clearly going to be the person sitting at the computer when KDE has started.
