I'm running kde 3.4 on a Gentoo build of the final release and using QT 3.3.4.  The problem I see is when I first log into KDE and click the K menu. My kicker panel is probably about 60% of the screen in length, but when I click the k menu initially pops up as if the menu was all the way to the left of the screen.  If I click it again it is just fine.

Hold the phone on this one.  I just noticed a new revision of QT for Gentoo that includes a 0047-fix-kmenu-widget.diff patch.  Let me build that and see where we stand.
