Description Hans-Rudi Denzler 2005-03-22 11:37:58 UTC
Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs
OS:                Linux

A favourites menu in kcontrol would be nice or drag and drop feature of module to desktop.

Workaround:
> kcmshell --list|grep -i zert
crypto
> locate */crypto.desktop
/opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/crypto.desktop

Assuming you have a link in your home directory to
/opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/keys.desktop
you can use kfind with file type: symbolic link, text: key (example)

Exec=kcmshell keys
              ---
Keywords[de]=Tasten,Tastenzuordnung,Tastenkürzel,Kurzbefehle,Tastenschema,Tastaturlayout
---

KDE 3.5:

If a drag the <Display> link to the desktop, I will get

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=unknown
Name=kcm://0x81ff500
Type=Link
URL=kcm://0x81ff500

Better:
/opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/display.desktop:
[Desktop Entry]
X-SuSE-translate=true
Encoding=UTF-8
Icon=kscreensaver
Type=Application
Exec=kcmshell display
DocPath=kcontrol/kcmdisplay/index.html
