Description Wouter Van Hemel 2005-03-21 02:20:57 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

An option not to save the attachments in sent-mail when you send out email with attachments would be nice.

I think there actually is no reason why anybody would want to keep their own files in the sent-mail mailbox. It's not really the most convenient place to store files in or to look for them.

Pine has such an option. It shows a header for emails with attachements in sent-mail, saying "an attachment blah.jpg was sent but not saved" or something along those lines.

This might be related to #17513 and #33219, but I don't want to delete attachments; just not save them when I send the email.

Except when you store your files in your mailbox.

It is a good idea -- when composing mail you have such options for every attachment -- compress, encrypt, sign. Another one "store" would be great.

Plus global option "store/do not store by default". For example, I would choose do not store by default, and each time I add attachment, this option "store" would be deselected. Once the mail would be sent, attachment would be erased.

Thank you for your feature request. Kmail1 is currently unmaintained so we are closing all wishes. Please feel free to reopen a feature request for Kmail2 if it has not already been implemented.
Thank you for your understanding.

Instead of creating a new feature request, please confirm here if the wishlist is still valid for kmail2.
