I always have problems with finding the kdes sytem tray programs.  Gnome has hte luck of the "add to panel" applet inlcuding all sytem tray plugins, along with others.

In KDE hwoever, one is unable to find them somewhere.  I suggest a special folder (think Mac OSX Applications menu) under /  or ~/.kde that will add all the programs to a context menu in the system tray.  That way we don't have to start a zillion programs to find the kalarm daemon, for example.I always have
