Sentry Crash Report:

Description Arne Henningsen 2005-03-16 18:35:39 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

If you have the detailed view in konqueror file manager, sort the files by date, modify/save one of these files with another program, and click on "refresh" in konqueror, then the date of the file is updated, but the sort order of the files is NOT updated. A second "refresh" updates the sort order. Hence, one has to "refresh" twice before konqui displays the files in the correct order. This is very annoying.

can't reproduce in 3.4.0 from kubuntu hoary.
Comment 2 Arne Henningsen 2006-10-19 16:05:26 UTC
I still can reproduce it in KDE 3.5.5 on SuSE 10.0 with RPMs from http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.0/
Comment 3 Martin Fitzpatrick 2007-01-06 19:37:57 UTC
Unable to reproduce on KDE 3.5.5 / Kubuntu 6.10. When saving files in KDE apps (e.g. Kate) file-order is updated automagically in Konqueror as file timestamp is changed. Using `touch` or saving from Gnome app (Mozilla) Konqueror does not automatically update file order but it is still correct after Refresh.

Works here too. Perhaps it's a SUSE bug. Can you report to SUSE, and if they say it's a KDE bug, please reopen this report.
Comment 5 Arne Henningsen 2007-01-07 22:58:52 UTC
I have reported this to the newsgroup "opensuse.org.suse-linux.support.kde"
(http://forums.novell.com/category/opensuse.tpt) and asked if they can reproduce it on other versions of openSUSE and/or KDE.
Comment 6 Arne Henningsen 2007-01-18 18:16:25 UTC
This bug has been confirmed by someone on "opensuse.org.suse-linux.support.kde"

Therefore, I have reported it to the openSUSE developers
(https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=236321).
