in konqueror, if I download sth from an http site,
the download window shows during the download always
100 percent, from beginning to the end
(this does not happen by downloading sth from an
ftp site)

Maybe kget does not know the size of the file u are downloading(on the ftp sites it knows) and cannot display the procent....
