This is with CVS konqueror as of 20030503. This problem may be with the spell checker.  It works across every Konqueror window that I've tried to open. 

To duplicate:

1. In Konqueror, browse a web page containing an edit field.
2. Enter some text into the edit field
3. Highlight text in it.  Notice the delays.
4. Try to even drag that text around.  Now Konqueror freezes for a little while, becoming unresponsive to key clicks. Intermittent debug text indicates the following:

Grabbing the mouse failed with "GrabInvalidTime"
QClipboard::setData: Cannot set X11 selection owner for PRIMARY
QClipboard: cannot transfer data, no data available
QClipboard: cannot transfer data, no data available
