Description Tristan Miller 2005-03-05 21:53:50 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.92)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Please add an option in KSnapshot to include the mouse pointer in the screen or window capture. There are many cases in which including the mouse pointer is useful. One example is when creating a tutorial and including a screen shot showing a user selecting a command from a pull-down menu. Another example is for reporting bugs involving incorrect mouse pointer behaviour -- it would be useful to include screenshots showing the problem.

/me remembers an old patch using xfixes extension. :-)

I totally agree with the reporter. By now I always gimp the mouse pointer into the screenshots. It really would help a lot to have the option to capture it too. Would save some time and work for many users I guess.

What about Bug 28656? There's the "xfixes" patch. But it still doesn't seem to be implemented in KDE 3.5.1's ksnapshot.

I agree that it would be helpful to include this option. Added some votes.
