Works fine for me, Kopete 0.10. Please test that version. I can confirm this bug: kopete works fine with ICQ, but it complains about my password with MSN (my account is ok, I tried with other clients without problems). Is there a 0.10 tarball? (wich builds against 3.3.2, CVS doesn't) No. If CVS doesn't build against KDE 3.3.2, nor will the released Kopete 0.10. If you have an adress like @hotmail.fr @hotmail.de or @hotmail.uk it's fixed in 0.10 What's your version of kopete ? Also, it might be the server being unavaliable temporarely. I'am using version 0.9.2 but I don't have a hotmail adres, I use my normal email adres. It has nothing to do with the server, it always worked in the past with the same version and kmess and amsn are working fine with my normal email adress. Is there any additional attention being paid to this issue? this is a duplicate of 105929. am reopening it to mark it as such. you should get Kopete from svn using the second set of instructions (the ones for the stable branch) at http://kopete.kde.org/index.php?page=cvs *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 105929 *** the connection trouble occours when you did not disconnect from your account (like kill application). So, if you use gaim, by example, connect to your msn account and disconnect, when you connect using kopete, will works fine. I've got the same problem with v 0.8.4 (old one, I know) but I've seen before on a MS faq that users with a dot in their msn account (exemple : teddy.smith@yahoo.fr - look a the dot - teddyDOTsmith) may experience troubles ... to be shure I should test with another account |
