<thetext>Advanced metadata setting : Tags write options set to Xmp.lrhierarchicalSubject

Most of time I use face recognition which writes automatically into Xmp.lrhierarchicalSubject and I get "People|Alice", People|John", ... ; it is ok. There is not "People" alone as in the following workflow.

But sometime I want to set a people who appears on the photo but whose the face is not visible. In this case, I open the tag manager and I set this people into the People tree. After to apply it, I get Xmp.lrhierarchicalSubject = "People|Alice", People|John", "People", "People[Mark" : the "People" alone should not be present, no isn’t it ?</thetext>

<thetext>You probably aren't referring to what we call the Tag Manager, since tags cannot be assigned to images within the Tag Manager.
So, presumably, you mean the right sidebar. I am unable to reproduce the problem. Can you rule out the possibility that you are accidentally selecting the People tag as well?

Yes (how do you call it ?)
I select only the people I want in the People tree and that automatically select also the root People tag. If I deselect the former, my people tag is also deselected.</thetext>

    <thetext>Okay, then it's clear—it's not a bug.
In the context menu over the tag tree, under the "Toggle Auto" option, you selected the setting to automatically select parent tags as well.

When you think you know everything about a software then you discover a little hidden option...
Thank you for the quick answer !</thetext>
