The crash will cause the panel to break, wallpaper to not render and applications life firefox to also not render a window. Using a new user will not crash on first login, but after changing display settings (setting scale to 200%, disabling 3/4 screens) it will also crash. Enabling the screens and reseating scale doesn't seem to fix it.. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Login to kde plasma 6.3 x11 session OBSERVED RESULT kwin will crash breaking panel and firefox EXPECTED RESULT kwin not to crash SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Note this is pre upgrade as I had to rollback to get a usable desktop.
