I don't wish it to show as a screen though because I do not use it that way. In the display configuration I can move the device to the side of my monitor but then sometimes windows open on the non visible screen and I can't snap my mouse to the edge of the screen because it is extending the screen area beyond my monitor. If I have the receiver "display" overlap my monitor it breaks maximizing of windows. Disabling the device in display configuration prevents audio output to the device. However in my case the receiver actually is capable of being a 1080p display device too.
