I stopped installing updates because my system was running fine and I feared updating would screw something up. Ultimately I caved in, and 2 days ago I installed the latest updates. My fears were founded. Just by having Translucency turned on and focusing another window while closing the other one I guess. It happened to me as I had a popup window that asked me if I want to exit a program, I clicked yes and the window stayed there as "ghost window". As I disabled Translucency the ghost window disappeared.
