However, after working intensively for a pixel art style game for more than a year now, I came to the conclusion that 800% is way too early. 800% is a sweet spot where I zoom out to see the whole design while each pixel is still big enough to be painted precisely. But the grid gets in the way here so I found myself changing this value every time after reinstalling an OS. From my experience, a value of 2400% is more appropriate.
