However, sometimes, when the machine comes back from system suspend, the layout resets to plain "German", i.e., with dead keys enabled. I then have to go to systemsettings, make some change in the keyboard configuration (so that the "Apply" button becomes enabled), and hit "Apply" - to fix my keyboard layout. Reproducible: Sometimes This is a regression compared to KDE4, where I never saw this happen. Note that I have no idea which product kcm_keyboard.so belongs to. It is packaged in plasma-desktop in Debian, that was the only hint I had... I also don't know who or what is reseting the keyboard layout.
