I can enter Chinese and Japanese into applications such a libreoffice write and kwrite. However, this is impossible in konsole. I am unable to use "vi" for example to enter some simple non-English characters. It may have been fixed earlier, but I rarely use vi and entering Chinese or Japanese these days.
