<thetext>(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kcmlocale
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.9
OS/Compiler notes:

When changing language and applying it a mesasgebox with the following text is shown:

"Changed language settings apply only to newly started applications. To change the language of all programs you will have to logout first."

This is VERY annoying when changing language often. I am EXTREMELY aware that the settings only apply to newly started applications by now.

If you can't fix this then tell me and I will make a patch against the latest stable release (2.2.1). But I'm reluctant to compile KDE from CVS HEAD just to make this patch against it.

> > KDE 2.2.2 fixes a bunch of mostly minor issues you can have a look at

> > has changed the changelog is probably not complete at this moment.
>
> How about fixing http://bugs.kde.org/db/32/32687.html ? Should be easy
> enought because the patch is really simpe; -1 line +2 lines. (I attach it
> again for convenience.)

Thanks added.

Cheers
