The problem is still present it 4.8 RC2. I verified using acpi_listen that the system is aware of the buttons and generates correct events. I'm able to put my laptop to sleep by pressing Fn+F2 which generates XF86Sleep event, when the laptop is left idle for a defined period of time, it also enters sleep accordingly to PowerDevil's settings. It's just the power button and the lid sensor that don't work.
