To reproduce the issue:
1. Open System Settings 
2. Click on Multimedia
3. Click on Phonon
4. Select Audio output - Music
5. Click on Internal Audio Analog Stereo
6. Click on Test button.
7. While the sound is playing close the windows with &quot;X&quot;
 I have pulseaudio enabled and I am using the vlc-phonon backend as default.
