At start kwin has a slightly higher cpu usage, but then slowly after time plasma will take aroung 30 - 90 % of cpu and it will lag when when you try to click task manager, right click on system tray... Steps: - login into clean desktop - open kopete - use someone to send you a message (icon should start spinning) - leave your computer for at least half hour - take a look at top - plasma should be using more cpu than normally. At this point clicking on a task inside manager to bring it in front will take some time to respond, plasma cpu usage will spike during that, icon animation will freeze during that time.
