Why not just "move" by default since it's very rare someone would want to copy the same file in the same directory and probably a little less so the same drive. If I wanted to copy, I'd right-click and copy. When working with a lot of files, it gets a little annoying. But otherwise, it's been a while since I used KDE/Dolphin and I'm surprised how far it's came.
