The default shortcut for decrease volume is meta + -. It does not work with the - key in the numeric keypad; for international keyboards the problem is even worse. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189003 for reference (original bug against Amarok). Note that when set as a non global shortcut, numeric keys work.
