<thetext>Version: (using Devel)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

While opening a remote FTP location with files in IS0-8859-15 I notice some garbled filenames.

I used the "set remote charset" option but it didn't work properly.
If i first set it to ISO-8859-15 nothing happens, next I tried another charset (any other) it correctly display the files. I guess the change there is a small discrepancy when we choose a charset.
Since this a bit confusing, will try to make a sequence que illustrate the behavior:

1 - open remote site => charset is wrong
2 - change charset to correct option => nothing happens
3 - change charset to any other option => filenames are displayed correctly
4 - change back to ISO-8859-15 => filenames are messed up
5 - choose another charset => everything is fine
6 - and so on...

Another problem is that I have the default charset for all fonts set to ISO-8815-9 in the konqueror preferences and this setting is being ignore. This did not happen in kde3.

This bug also affect DOLPHIH (should I make another bug report?)</thetext>

<thetext>This also is now affecting kde 4.3.1.
I am unable to open files with "special characters" in its path in openoffice from konqueror or dolphin.</thetext>
