The issue is reproduced on: * Mandriva 2009 (kde4.1.3) * OPENSuse 11.1 (kde4.1.3) If the samba shares is mounted via a shell command which specifies the iocharset, the issue is no more present. fstab example: //server/mountpoint /media/sambaShares cifs users,credential=/etc/smb.credential,iocharset=utf8 0 0 695629 1 andresbajotierra 2009-01-07 15:52:08 +0000 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 158639 ***
