Description Giovanni Masucci 2005-02-10 10:55:34 UTC
Version: 3.3.92 (using KDE 3.3.92 (beta2), Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 20041125 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3-r1, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10

In kde 3.4 beta2 the new introduction screens (kcontrol, kmail, konqui) cannot handle svgs icons.
step to reproduce:
use an svg icon theme
open konqueror in web browsing mode.
This produces a very ugly and unfunctional problem for the ones who are using svgs icon themes and is a pity because svg support in kde 3.4 improved a lot! :(
Thank you kde developers. :)

The old about screen didn't work either.

It needs to use an <object type="image/foo" ...></object> instead of an <img .../>, the problem is getting the correct mimetype and requiring ksvg which may not be installed.

I really think this bug is no more valid in KDE 4. Do you all agree?
