Description Martin Koller 2005-02-05 17:48:03 UTC
Version: 3.3.92 (using KDE 3.3.92 (beta2), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7

I've set konqi/JavaScript/Ask to open new windows
Opening the link http://themes.freshmeat.net/browse/11/ and clicking on a picture (left side, thumbnail) pops up a dialog asking:
This site is requesting to open up a new browser window via JavaScript.
Do you want to allow this?

Yes/No

When I click "No", a new window is still opened.

When I click "Yes", also a new window is opened, but this one does not show the menubar and iconbars.

Ouch!!!!!!!
confirmed on 3.5.2 new window (or tab in my case) opens normally, but konqueror also claims to have blocked it.

Another site in which this ``works'' is http://www.alternate.nl/html/shop/productDetails.html?artno=JAXV21&
click on the photo to view enlarged image and opt to not allow.

Still valid in KDE-3.5.8
Comment 4 FiNeX 2008-04-20 19:04:56 UTC
On konqueror 4 if I select "allow" the page is opened on a new windows. If I select "do not allow", the page is opened on a new tab.

This happen with the "ASK" policy on the javascript popup option.

The behaviour of comment 4 can be confirmed in 4.5.4; updating version.
