Version: 3.3.91 (using KDE 3.3.91 (beta1), Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.3 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.3, ssp-3.4.3-0, pie-8.7.6.6) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.9-gentoo-r1 the profile management (or lack of it) in konqueror could do with some serious tidying up. this particular bug refers to the problem that whenever i click a local directory link in a konqueror session open in a local directory tree (as you do), it opens said directory in a web browsing profile, which i have set to look like a web browser. it should open in a profile for local browsing. i dont know if this is a "real" bug or just my profile configuration that is broken. either way it needs a usable way to fix. the whole profile subsystem needs to brought to the user. what it boils down to is being able to configure a default profile depending upon the url, and this functionality needs to be upfront and easy to use.
This is no longer a valid report. Konqueror today provides many multiple ways to save, modify and delete profiles.
