Version: 3.3.91 (using KDE 3.3.91 (beta1), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-3) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1dell-optiplex The wallet component fills in username password only when the full page is loaded (its progress is at 100%) and many sites (sourceforge being a major one) have advertisement servers that supply some images. If those are slow the page never reaches 100%, and thus the username/passwords are never filled. This actually makes the wallet completely unusable on these sites. Notice that not fetching images does not fix the problem.

Filling the page before images load is not really an option. Scripts run after images load, for instance, so the page isn't setup yet. It would break other pages if we made this change. The only option I see is to have a manual form fill option. This could easily be done as a khtml plugin.
Ok, and what about filling it in when the user selects his username. So, I start to type 'za' at which point I get a popup asking me if I want to insert 'zander'. Clicking that one could automatically fill the password field as well (as long as it was empty :) ps. its not an option to alter khtml in the core to run scripts before all images are loaded, right?

I had another idea which I'll just put here.. If the page has no onLoad script, can't you do wallet-inserting as soon as the domtree is build?
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
