Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

Open konqueror.

click on "home folder" icon in sidebar. change to dir "Desktop".

click on "root folder" icon in sidebar. Change to /mnt

click back on "home folder" icon in sidebar. 
"Desktop" is selected in left panel, but it is not displayed in the right panel.
Instead /mnt is displayed in the right panel.

confirming for 3.4.3 from kubuntu breezy.

This still happens in Konqueror 4.1 in kubuntu 8.04 .

Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams:
This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore.
If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report.
