Version: 3.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: gcc 3.4 OS: Linux Here is a short example with my own site. I have tab 1 open at some site, and tab 2 at http://artemiolabs.com/labs/contact/. I am sending an e-mail from page tab 2 and the page that says "your mail was sent" has a history.go(-1) script in there executed after 3 seconds. However, before these 3 seconds elapse, I switch to tab 1 and this script is executed there - tab 1 site goes to previous page, and tab 2 stays with "your mail was sent" message.
Cannot reproduce. (konqueror 3.5.beta2)
Also works fine in Konqueror 4 from trunk (kdelibs: 799193, kdebase: 799197)
Can you please explain how you got a works for me result here with no active site, and archives not working here. If you wrote a test case, could you please upload it. Without knowing your method I'm unable to test 3.5.9. Thanks.
Oh damn. Looks like I've missplaced the comment. Had too many tabs open I guess. Just ignore comment #2. What has really happened: In Konqueror 3.5.9 this was reproducable still, in Konqueror 4 the settimout functions doesn't seem to work at all. The testcase I made for this bug is here: http://jlp.holodeck1.com/ (the last link there) To reproduce just open one tab and browse a bit in it so that history builds. Then open http://jlp.holodeck1.com/ in another tab and then click the 95866 link. On the new page you click the Back! button.
So clicking on the back button is supposed to take you back to the previous page in that tab? It has no effect on tab one, or tab two, for that matter... It does actually go back in iceweasel, so I guess that's the desired behaviour. Testing in 4.00.83 (r822750)
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
