Description Philipp Weissenbacher 2004-12-17 21:07:15 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE KDE 3.3.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

If you open a tab "foo" and "bar" and the "bar" for example querries you to enter a username and password in by a dialouge, but "foo" is active the dialog uses "foo"s but not "bar"s icon as expected.

How to reproduce:
1. Open two webistes which use favicons; one of them must pop up a querry dialouge (use for example a ftp account).
2. Activate the other websites tab before the querry dialouge appears.
3. You'll notice that the dialouge uses the active tab's icon instead of the one who popped up the dialogue.

This could be solved whether by simply using the right icon. The second way it could be done would be the more intuitive way to me: If the dialogue pops up and a different tab is active than the dialogue's tab the dialogue's starts to flash (like in the task bar when an other app seeks focus than the active one) and the dialogue is hidden.

Just a minor usabilty bug, but a bug.

Please feel free to mail me if there are any suggestions.

Still exists in KDE 3.5.4.

The bug still exists in Konqueror 3.5.9. In Konqueror 4 (kdelibs: 799193, kdebase: 799197) the dialog that shows up has an icon with a question mark and still not with the icon of the originating tab.

Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams:
This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore.
If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report.
Thank you for your understanding.
