(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Dear Sir Package: Konqueror Version: kde-1.93 Konqueror seems to be mixed up regarding settings. For example setting the background colour is done with View -> Background color whereas the foreground colour is done with Settings -> Configure -> File Manager -> Appearance. Also it seems to crash with segmentation faults. Saddly I didn't record the error message and can't seem to reproduce it. However all I was doing was playing around with the menu bar options. Best wishes.... Colin

This bug with the mixed settings is still valid with Konqueror 3.5.5. With "foreground color" you probably mean the font color. I personally don't see why I should change the font color and size less often than the background color/image and why these things can't be grouped together.
does this whis still valid in konq 4.2.4?
This bug is no more valid in KDE 4 where the file management is done by Dolphin. It doesn't support custom background color (anyway there already exists a wish about it). The KDE 3 version of konqueror is no more mantained.
