Description Sauli Raivio 2004-12-08 04:30:59 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

America's Army game (www.americasarmy.com) is not working with kwin. If the game is started in full screen mode and then switched to windowed mode (ALT+ENTER), there is no window decorations. Same happens if it is started in windowed mode(decorations ok) -> ALT+ENTER(full screen) -> ALT+ENTER again(windowed mode, no decorations).

I've tested this in gnome(metacity) and wmaker and they do work. Also using metacity in KDE works, so it looks like kwin issue.

Works fine here. What are the relevant version numbers? Can you try with KDE3.3.2?
Comment 2 Sauli Raivio 2004-12-18 01:29:35 UTC
Computer 1:
Athlon XP 2800+
KDE 3.3.1
Kernel 2.6.9-1-k7
libc-2.3.2.so
libqt-mt.so.3.3.3

Computer 2:
Pentium 4
KDE 3.3.1
Kernel 2.6.9-1-686-smp
libc-2.3.2.so
libqt-mt.so.3.3.3

Standard debian unstable packages. This has happened with several previous versions. I tested the latest beta KDE 3.3.90 (alpha?), same result.

I'll try 3.3.2 as soon as it appears in debian unstable.

Ok, sid got 3.3.2 and I upgraded. The same thing still happens just like before.
Comment 4 Philip Rodrigues 2006-09-09 17:37:11 UTC
Is the problem still there with KDE 3.5?

Waiting for a response.
Comment 6 Sauli Raivio 2006-11-08 17:41:51 UTC
Yes, I'm running debian etch, KDE 3.5.5.
Just updated NVIDIA drivers to 1.0-9629.
