Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux Folders which are shared by Samba or NFS normally have a little overlay icon to indicate that they are shared. This works for closed folder icons. But it does not work for the open folder icon. How to reproduce: 1) Share a folder with Samba or NFS. 2) Now open Konqueror and open the tree view in the Sidebar! 3) Open the parent folder of your shared folder, the shared folder should have a little icon indicating sharing. 4) Now open the shared folder 5) Result: share icon is missing, the icon is a normal open folder icon. Note that interestingly the normal treeview (not in the sidebar) does not have that problem. This has a simple explanation: it does not use the open folder icon for open folders! This might be filed as a new bug, because it is inconsistent to the sidebar.
Created attachment 8311 [details] Patch that solves the problem If nobody objects I commit the patch

Oh no, yet another mailing list to subscribe to. ;-) Nevertheless, I have thought theses messages are forwarded to the kfm-devel list, no?
no, konq-bugs is a mailing list on it's own
It works for me in 4.1.
KDE 4 has changed since KDE 3 and it behave a bit different. This bug is no more valid. All reports about file management mode reported against KDE 3 (konqueror) has been closed: konqueror in KDE 3 is no more developed and mantained. All bugs and wishes which could be interesting for Dolphin in KDE 4 (the new KDE file manager) has been collected into a specific list. Please try the new file manager before request new features and report bugs. Before submitting new reports check carefully the already opened KDE/Dolphin reports in order not to add duplicates. Many thanks.
