Version: 3.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: Compiled From Sources When you enable Auto-refresh of a page (or a tab) in the Tools menu, I think that this should be disabled as far as a form element has been altered by the user. As for now, if you select to auto-refresh every 15 seconds, and you just begin to type-in in a textarea of the page, for example, all your modifications are lost. I think that it shouldn't be a lot of work since you are prompted about your modifications if you leave or refresh manually a page that has been modified. Furthermore, it would be great if the internal counter could be reset/stopped when any scrollbar is activated, or any action is made on the page, for instance. Thanks in advance for your concern.
This behavior is confirmed on KDE 3.5.4, though I think it is the intended behavior. After a Konqi dev looks at this, I think it should probably be set as a wishlist for a "smart" auto-refresh feature.
As this is a dataloss situation, should the priority not be higher?
Is this still valid with KDE 4.5?
Closing for lack of feedback. Fixed since quite some time
