Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.1) Installed from: RedHat RPMs OS: Linux https://osc-amer.sun.com/OSCSW/svcportal?pageName=login is unusable, as one cannot login. The "Log In" button seems to do nothing.
Put in any value for username and password, and then click on the "Login" button. konqueror does not "submit" the form. I can see the k wheel rotate quickly and then stop. With firefox, the form is submitted, and I am therefore able to login.
please check konqueror.kde.org/investigatebug - we need a test case
A quick look at their HTML makes me wonder: So they are basically opening a second form with a onSubmit that does nothing? <td nowrap> <label for="passwd"><b>Password</b></label></td> <td> <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> document.write('<\/FORM><FORM NAME="form" method="POST" ACTION="/OSCSW/LoginServlet" onSubmit="return submit2()"><input type="hidden" name="userName">') </SCRIPT> <input type="hidden" name="function" value="Login"> <input type="password" name="passwd" id="passwd" size="25" maxlength="80"> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td> <input type="submit" value=" Log In " class="buttonblue" onMouseOver="this.style.color='#fbe249';" onMouseOut="this.style.color='#FFF';" name="LogInButton" /> </td> </tr>
The webpage is not accessible anymore. What should we do with this bug?
Created attachment 24535 [details] testcase The bug is seemingly related to improper nesting of html elements like: <form> <div> </form> <form> </div> </form> In such a case - on submitting the 2nd form, konqueror submits the 1st as well (and if onSubmit on the first one returns false, it doesn't submit the 2nd one either).
I changed the title to reflect what I found out. This is an error in the page mentioned. It works in several other browsers. Not sure how to handle it. The original title used to be: https://osc-amer.sun.com/OSCSW/svcportal?pageName=login javascript login fails
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
