Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 (Debian) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1dell-optiplex After opening a document which previews in an external part (in both views) pressing back twice will bring you back to t hat document again. To reproduce: make sure you have an embeddable document (I used a pdf) If you use a pdf; make sure that it _embeds_ automatically (without using the 'preview-in') Open a new konqueror in file-browsing mode. split views enable linked views make sure you click through some dirs in order to actually have a history (so you _can_ press 'back') click on a pdf. Notice how the pdf opens in both views. Press back; you are now back (in both views) in the dir where you clicked on the pdf. Press back again. I expect to actually go back in my history. Instead I found I was again looking at the pdf.
