Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages When a url is opened with the text kpart in Konqueror, pressing reload will always reopen the url with the text kpart, even if the mime-type is changed. To reproduce, add index.txt to the DirectoryIndex directive on your Apache server, make an index.txt in some directory and load it in Konqueror with an embedded kpart for text/plain files. Then, remove the .txt-file and make an index.html. Press refresh, and the text/html file is displayed in the text kpart!
This only happens when using the F5 keyboard shortcut to reload. Clicking on the reload button on a toolbar works correctly. This happens because the reload keyboard shortcut is stolen by the KTextEditor part and thus causes the KTextEditor to reload itself, rather than konqueror reloading the page.
Same issue with KDE 3.5.5 SuSe 10.1 Exactly what Theo has explained.
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
