Description benjamin isant 2004-09-06 22:02:01 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, Arch Linux)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.1
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.8.1

Starting konqueror for the first time (unparametrized) I got an empty window.
(tool bars, bookmarks, but no html page or local file browsing ... nothing what is logic as it started with an empty URL)
This is OK and then i can go thanks to bookmarks to internet or my hard drives....

BUT

if i split the window before going on a valid URL, a popup spring with "bad URL!"

so there is two solutions:
if having an empty url is an error, i should have been prevented for starting konqueror without url and i should have had an error when starting it

or if it is ok to have no url in a panel then spliting an url less panel should not generate an error.

I know this is details but it makes feel quality to beginers. now, parametrized my profiles to strat on a default url such as google and i dont know any more how to remove it to re-experience this bug !!!!!
(ecxept maybe removing konqueror configs)

i love it so i want to help it better
thanks for the hard work
cheers

benjamin

I managed to reproduce this one with debian 3.4.2 but not on my self compiled svn build -r460k

Thank you for your bug report. This is closed as we can not reproduce it anymore with 4.0.3 nor 4.0.73.
